Optimise the production system for business cards, from a timescale and quality point of view.
Previously, individual branches and offices forwarded requests for new business cards to the relevant employee who sent them to the printer.
It was necessary to produce a draft print, which the printer brought to the employee who forwarded them to the branch or office which had made the request.
The office or branch concerned checked the draft sample, requesting corrections where necessary, or giving approval for the final print.
This was a lengthy, costly procedure, where the cost of the process was a good deal higher than the cost of the business card itself.
