Client requirements
At the beginning of 2001 Sec Servizi was deciding whether to renew their printing centre, or to outsource their printing and envelope insertion activities.
Legal constraints relating to available space, and the need to invest in updating production technologies meant Sec Servizi had to decide quickly.
The Selecta Solution
- Sec Servizi decided to form a joint venture with Selecta (Sec Print) for all printing and envelope insertion activities of Sec Servizi’s client banks.
- 32 Sec Servizi staff were assigned to Sec Print in addition to existing resources. Selecta is the largest partner and is responsible for industrial management.
- Selecta immediately enhanced production capacities, increasing the production volume previously achieved in-house considerably.
- With the decision of the Italian Post Office (Poste Italiane) to abolish hybrid electronic mail regulations, Sec Print was incorporated into another company of the Selecta group, transforming the joint venture into a supply contract that is still in force.
